Faded USN collar stencil. Everything orig. except (old) replaced cuffs.

Condition: excellent, soiling, use, no mothing. This is the post-1946 artwork of VT-38. VA-55 was unique in
being deployed for all four years in Korea. Participated in most
of the major operations of KW including Inchon. Participated in first
naval air strikes of KW against North Korean targets. CVG-19 and ATG -2
deployed on
Valley Forge (CV-45), Princeton (CV-37) and Essex (CVA-9).
As the VA-55,
the KW Blood Chit and TF 77 (see below) were sewn on at
the same time, this patch represents presumably the first deployment of
VA-55 in 1950.
