AA A rare original G-1 Jacket named to Second Lieutenant James E. Bir, Korean War, from the famed VMF-311 squadron of John Glenn and Bosox slugger Ted Williams (Glenn's wingman). Showing iconic Japanese-made Silk/Bullion chest patch (with silk wear from parachure harness), Leather name tag, Cherry Point and MAW 2 embroidered patches. Surviving artifacts from this historic F9-F Panther combat squadron are exceedingly scarce and Lt. Bir's G-1 is a stunning example.
