The amazing eye-candy 1930s-40s PETER TAILORS Art Deco Horsehide Motorcycle Jacket recreated and idealized in all its complexity and drama. Each Peters was custom-made and of the few originals surfaced no two are identical (see pics below).

The Peters is unduplicated in the fascinatingly obscure canon of bygone vintage motorcycle jackets. The extraordinary front almost makes the daunting Leathertogs 'B' seem simple by comparison (yeah, right!), evoking military tunics. Great vintage motorcycle jacket designs like this drip imagination, bravado and individuality, and the Peters is wizard-like in pushing the over-the-top envelope of Baroque devil-may-care design artistry and cojones.

PETERS INTERIOR

Note the brown roughout leather waist facings. This unusual feature is often found on Leathertogs (Massachusetts) jackets too (where typically only the center waist facing is the roughout reverse hide). The Peters extends this feature to the full waist. Not a "fashion choice," rather to reduce abrasion and finish loss from contact with the rider's leather belt, keys, holster, knife sheath, etc., reduce lining wear and add comfort and waist flexibility. Very cool, eye-catching.

Functionality -- it's no fun and potentially unsafe as well to snap off a button while riding, so we sew vintage N.O.S. copper backing buttons (visible above). Additional bling too. Details, details, details!
